Membership Process

Individual Howard County residents, Howard County Businesses and organizations serving Howard County residents are encouraged to participate in the Howard County Local Health Improvement Coalition (HCLHIC). A membership application may be submitted at any time. 
 
Benefits of membership include:
•Access to networking and continuing education opportunities;
•Organizational visibility shared through the HCLHIC website and other social media; 
•A monthly electronic newsletter (HCLHIC Digest) and social media tips; 
•Opportunities to contribute meaningfully to the health of Howard County. 
 
Applicants are asked to select a preferred level of engagement with the HCLHIC. Please know that each member, at every level, is a valued member of the coalition.
 
Membership Engagement Levels:
Level 1: I am interested in joining the HCLHIC to:
•Learn more about the resources available in my community;
•Share my community's events and activities with the coalition;
•Attend full HCLHIC meetings (quarterly).
 
Level 2: I am interested in joining the HCLHIC to:
•Learn more about the resources available in my community;
•Share my community’s events and activities with the coalition;
•Attend full HCLHIC meetings (quarterly);
•Participate in one or more designated coalition work groups (Access to Care, Behavioral Health, Healthy Aging, and Healthy Weight);
 
Level 3: I am interested in joining the HCLHIC to:
•Learn more about the resources available in my community;
•Share my community’s events and activities with the coalition;
•Attend full HCLHIC meetings (quarterly);
•Participate in one or more designated coalition work groups (Access to Care, Behavioral Health, Healthy Aging, and Healthy Weight);
•Commit my individual, business or organizational resources to further work group priorities.
