Rethinking ADHD: What Works, What Doesn't, and Why (Free)
Presented by the Office of the Local Children's Board
The Kros Learning Group aims to empower individuals who guide and nurture children by equipping them with practical and powerful skills to shape resilient minds and unlock their full potential.
ADHD diagnoses are on the rise but ADHD myths persist. This transformative workshop
provides details on what ADHD really is and how to support this unique brain. Participants will be able to explain ADHD as a biological, brain-based condition by identifying its genetic roots, the role of the frontal lobes, and how executive function skills are affected; recognize and apply evidence-based strategies and accommodations that support students with ADHD in developing executive functioning, reducing stress, and
increasing classroom success; shift their mindset toward a strengths-based perspective by challenging common myths, practicing positive feedback, and fostering hope and resilience in students with ADHD.
